Shadows of Another Love

 Shadows of Another Love

In the quiet hours where shadows play,
I long to kiss you, chase the night away.
But hearts grow weary, in silence we stay,
For life’s harsh lessons turn dreams to gray.

My soul is tired, of sharing these nights,
When all I seek are your tender lights.
I stood at the bend of joy and pain's flight,
Yet only find echoes in fading sights.

Once I carried laughter like petals in spring,
Now blues haunt my heart like a sorrowful wing.
With memories dancing and demons that cling,
In the wake of love lost—the ache does sting.
But through every tear that has drained from this well,
I've learned to love fiercely even if it hurts like hell.

Each heartbreak a chapter, a story to tell,
Of journeys untraveled where dreams used to dwell.
So here’s to the lessons spun from my core,
In loving myself as I open new doors.
While missing your warmth leaves me wanting more,
I'll rise from the ashes with strength I explore.

Though all my tears may have ebbed with the tide,
Hope whispers softly to hold back the slide.
In each fleeting moment where truth can abide,
I’ll carry this love—etched deep inside.
